Student Announcements

 Cheerleaders not participating in high school sports this fall practices will begin 10/14/08 in old gym. Practice dates are as follows: 10/14 3-5:45. 10/16-weight room 3-6:00; 10/21 3-5:45; 10/23 3-5:45; 10/28 3-6:00 p.m.

 The following need physicals before you begin cheerleading: Jenna Peck, Tori Repko, Madison Hermiller. The following need med emergency form filled out: Jenna Peck, Tori Repko, Madison Hermiler.

 The 8th grade class will be putting on a play "Campaign Capers at Taft High." There will be performances for the community Friday night, October 10 AND Saturday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be $3 for students and $5 for adults at the door with no presale.

 If you are interested in playing Girls CYO this year, see Kayla Schroeder by the end of this week.

 All students in grades 6 - 12 will be receiving an email in their school email account that requests them to participate in an online survey. This is a short survey that will give us information about student internet access. Please check your email and participate in this request.

 College Bound Juniors who would like to take the PSAT need to turn in the $13 test fee to the Guidance Office. The test will be administered Wednesday, Oct. 15 in the Media Center classroom periods 1-4.

 The MCNC Teachers' Assoc. is now taking orders for the Wildcat Card that can be used immediately until Sept. 1, 2009. They look like a credit card - yellow in color, and some brand new businesses have been added. The cost is $10.00 card. If you would like to order a card or two, please talk to a middle school or high school teacher to get your yellow order form. Fill it out ASAP. Make checks payable to MCNCEA. As soon as a teacher gets your order form and money, you can have your card(s). Thank you for your support!

 There will be a Student Council meeting today, Oct. 10, during intervention. We will meet in Mr. Benroth's rom.

 The Fall Athletic Banquet willl be held on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Forms are available in the office and must be returned no later than Monday, October 20.

 7th & 8th Grade Boys Basketball. Make sure you pick up October and November gym schedules. The November schedule has been pdated to include times of the week of November 3. Please make sure you have the correct November schedule.
